These are amazing photos. How I wish we also have snow here in the Philippines. :>
February 20, 2012 at 6:53 pm
@cathy – Just go to where it snows 🙂 Pinoy climate is lovely as it is.
@cedric – amazing photos. Chamonix is my favourite town in the world, but I’d never get as close to the mountains as much as you did.

These photos are insane! So great. We had powder like mad in Colorado last year and the skiing was more than amazing, but this year has been so depressingly thin….Where did you take these??????
Congrats on being Freshly Pressed!
February 20, 2012 at 6:54 pm
thanks. in chamonix France

All I can say about these pictures is WOW!! Absolutely gorgeous!
February 20, 2012 at 7:11 pm
Beautiful pictures! I really love the further away shots where you get to see vastness of the landscape.
February 20, 2012 at 7:51 pm
Aarrrhhh, insane!!! Some stunning pictures you got there. Is this the French Alps? Or Canada? Just guessing from your name! Let us know!
February 20, 2012 at 7:58 pm
Now I see you have tagged it Chamonix, question answered 🙂
February 20, 2012 at 7:58 pm
awesome. Where were these taken?
February 20, 2012 at 8:02 pm
Amazing, gorgeus but where is that? Thanks

Powdery indeed!
February 20, 2012 at 8:23 pm
wow I mean wow. Incredible pics, they really get across just how extreme riding those slopes must be. This is better than the videos one tends to see. Good one!
February 20, 2012 at 8:31 pm
Makes me wish I was on the mountain. Gorgeous!
February 20, 2012 at 8:38 pm
These are excellent images, but some of them make it look a little dangerous. I am simply amazed, can not say more.
February 20, 2012 at 8:49 pm
Holy moly! Epic pictures sir! I can’t wait to get back out onto the powder. Great work!
February 20, 2012 at 8:52 pm
Great pictures. Makes me want to go skiing again!
February 20, 2012 at 8:59 pm
Wow! Looks absolutely amazing, wish I was there! Gorgeous pictures! We’ve got a little snow here in Bonnie Scotland, but nothing comparable!
February 20, 2012 at 9:14 pm
Great pictures! I’m so jealous.. I’ve always wanted to go big mountain riding. Plus I’m jealous of the powder in general.. it’s quite scarce in the northeast US.
February 20, 2012 at 9:18 pm
This looks absolutely exhilarating and terrifying at the same time! Perfectly wonderful photos.
February 20, 2012 at 9:42 pm
Awesome photos, really spectacular scenery and some very talented skiers/snowboarders. I love the yellow ski trousers – perfect colour to be seen. I also particularly like the photo with the bright blue sky and the ropes hanging down on the snow. On the right of the photo looks like a lions head covered in snow – do you see what I mean? I don’t have the skills or guts to do off piste skiing to that level so it’s great that I can get the birds eye view from the comfort of my warm home.
February 20, 2012 at 10:08 pm
Incredible photos! Getting me so pumped to learn to snowboard…in Iowa. 🙂

February 20, 2012 at 11:25 pm
Wow! It looks so fantastic to be able to do that! I love skiing, but I would never even dare trying the sport you practice… Great pictures, by the way!

C’est magnifique! Je suis très jalouse. Moi aussie j’aime faire le snowboarding mais cette année, je n’ai pas eu beaucoup de chance d’y aller.
J’suis heureux que quelqu’un pouvait en profiter.

Great power shots. I envy the youth of those who are able to do this. Thanks for sharing this adventure.
February 21, 2012 at 6:15 am
Snow? What is this snow you speak of?
Seriously though, Toronto this winter = extinction of snow. I love having the snow go up to my ankles. I remember it snowing a lot last year, but this year, barely anything.
I’m jealous now. I’ll make a snowball from the frost in the freezer and throw it at someone to make myself feel better.
Amazing photos, of course.
February 21, 2012 at 6:27 am
to be honest….
shots are far from perfect but views are stunning 🙂

Stunning piccies!!! It takes me back to my snow season in Canada last year….except my snowboarding was nothing like that! Pow pow indeed…
February 21, 2012 at 10:44 am
I was scared just looking at the pics. The idea of throwing myself off a perfectly good mountain is insane. Good for you for having the guts to do it and the soundness of mind to photograph them for us.

Genuinely some of the best snow shots I’ve ever seen right here! Making the skiier look like a tiny dot in a landscape really makes you appreciate the sheer size of the mountains. Keep up the great work!

I was beginning to forget what snow looked like. :p Where I live we’ve gotten maybe one snowfall per month in the winter season. We had a very interesting looking Christmas to say the least. A nice mixture of grass and snow. XD
These are really nice photographs, Cedric. You look like you had a marvelous time skiing in the mountains.
